Franco Fontana photography event

Via Aldo Policek, 7, 30016 Jesolo VE - Portami qui
24.01.2026 - 25.01.2026

The JMuseo and the Municipality of Jesolo present the exhibition “Franco Fontana. Colors,” dedicated to Franco Fontana, a global pioneer of color photography, born in Modena in 1933. The solo exhibition, curated by Gabriele Accornero and the Studio Franco Fontana, will be open from November 29, 2025, to May 24, 2026, and features a selection of the artist’s most iconic works, many in large format, created between 1961 and 2017. The inauguration will take place on Friday, November 28, at 6:00 PM, with the participation of Mayor Christofer de Zotti and curators Gabriele Accornero and Cristina Fontana.

The exhibition explores Fontana’s main themes: People, with “human landscapes” and the Fragments and Pools series; Urban Landscapes, with unique perspectives on buildings, cityscapes, and details that transform the city into an abstract visual composition; Asphalts, focusing on road surfaces where lines, signs, and textures become protagonists; and Landscapes, in which the photographer captures natural scenery with intense colors and luminous geometries, creating images that resemble paintings.

The exhibition also includes an exclusive video interview with Fontana, subtitled in English, providing deeper insight into the artist and the man.

Opening hours are: from November 29 to December 19, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM; from December 20 to January 6, 2026, every day from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM; from January 7 to May 24, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with last entry at 6:00 PM.

The exhibition is aimed at a wide audience, from young people to the elderly, including families and students, as well as photography enthusiasts, thanks to high-quality Fine Art prints, museum-quality frames, and anti-reflective glass.

Admission fees to JMuseo are as follows:
