On Friday 5 June 2026 at 9.00 pm, at the Church of St John the Baptist in Jesolo, an event will be held on the theme “The Community – Home Jesolo – its meaning and value”, organised by the Mons. Marcato Cultural Association with the patronage and support of the Municipal Council.
During the evening, the Edesse choir will perform a concert of folk and sacred songs from the Armenian tradition, bearing witness to a people marked by diaspora and suffering. The event will also be an opportunity to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the exhibition of the 14th-century crucifix that once belonged to the Church of St John the Baptist, a historic and community symbol rediscovered after years of neglect.
The initiative is part of the national event “The Long Night of Churches”, promoted under the patronage of the Pontifical Council for Culture and Education.
The event is open to residents and tourists alike and will take place at the Church of St John the Baptist, in Piazza Matteotti in Jesolo, with free admission.
